Research Interests: I study the chemistry of water and its reactions with minerals and rocks. How water reacts with minerals and rocks is not merely an intellectual curiosity. Many urgent environmental challenges are intimately related to these interactions. These challenges include improving water quality, mitigating the global warming trend (e.g., geological carbon storage), and utilizing geological disposal of high-level nuclear waste. My research projects have addressed these challenges.
Cyberinfrastructure Integration Research Center
SGRC employees are researchers, scientists and students as both graduate research assistants and hourly employees. We welcome you to become involved as well. Interested students should engage with the Apache Airavata community through the developer mailing list to demonstrate their software design skills and development abilities.
Research Data Services Team (RDS)
The RDS team provides technical expertise, strategic thought, and project leadership on research data technologies and services to the IU research community. RDS operates the Indiana University Research Database Complex (RDC) and the Indiana Spatial Data Portal (ISDP). The Indiana Spatial Data Portal (ISDP) is an interactive website and archival system providing Indiana State geospatial data for online viewing, which has powered the Future Water gateway.
